Job Description
As an Administration Officer in the Supply Chain Management team, you will oversee tender-related processes and ensure compliance with proper procedures.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualification at NQF 6 with 4 years of relevant work experience, OR
- Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualification at NQF 7 with 2 years of relevant work experience.
- A postgraduate qualification (NQF 8) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field will be an added advantage.
Key Competencies
- Procurement Systems: Experience in procurement systems is advantageous.
- Legislation Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of supply chain management legislation, policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Public Finance: In-depth knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, and Generally Recognized Accounting Practice.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Internet, and Outlook.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Planning and Problem-Solving: Advanced planning, organizing, and problem-solving abilities.
- Interpersonal and Management Skills: Strong interpersonal, report writing, and people management skills.
- Driving: A valid driver’s license with at least one year of practical driving experience and willingness to travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the Request for Quotation/Tender process.
- Assist with Terms of Reference development and manage briefing/site inspection processes.
- Provide support in Quotation/Tender evaluation processes.
- Assist in generating purchase orders and processing invoices.
- Manage governance, risk, and compliance within the supply chain process.
