AfriSam South Africa is looking for three Warehouse Attendants to join their team at the Queenstown Depot (Komani). If you have the necessary qualifications and experience, this is your opportunity to apply. The closing date for applications is 7 February 2025.

Job Responsibilities

As a Warehouse Attendant, your main duties will include:

• Loading and offloading palletized cement and bulk materials.
• Stacking stock and pallets in the yard.
• Loading transporter vehicles while ensuring proper weight distribution and compliance with road traffic regulations.
• Reporting any breakages or missing bags.
• Ensuring the correct product type, packaging, and quantity are loaded as per the authority to load.
• Assisting with re-bagging and repacking of cement according to company procedures.
• Operating a forklift to move palletized products efficiently.
• Maintaining safety, health, and environmental standards in the warehouse.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this role, you must have:

• Grade 12 / Amended Senior Certificate / NCV Level 4 / Technical Matric (N3 with 4 technical subjects and 2 official languages).
• A valid 8-ton forklift driver’s license.
• At least one year of experience in a related industry.
• Previous experience operating bulk handling equipment and driving a forklift is preferred.

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong understanding of forklift operations.
• Experience handling bulk materials.
• Knowledge of safe pallet stacking procedures.
• Awareness of health, safety, and environmental risks in a warehouse environment.
