X2500 National Youth Service (NYS) EPWP Vacancies – Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development

The Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development (DID) is recruiting 2500 unemployed youth for the National Youth Service (NYS) Programme under the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP). Successful candidates will be placed in various projects across Gauteng for the 2025 – 2027 financial year.

Who Can Apply?

To qualify, you must meet the following requirements:

• Be between 18 and 33 years old (you must be below 35 for the full duration of the contract).
• Have completed at least Grade 10 or higher.
• Have a valid South African ID.
• Be unemployed and available for the full duration of the 24-month contract.
• Be willing to sign a contract and commit to the programme.
• Reside in one of the five corridors of Gauteng:
  • City of Johannesburg
  • City of Tshwane
  • City of Ekurhuleni
  • Sedibeng
  • West Rand District
• Live near a project site where placements will be made.
• Have no criminal record.

Stipend and Contract Duration

• Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R3,500.
• Contracts are for 24 months and will not be extended beyond this period.
