Anglo American is offering 24 Engineering Learnership positions for unemployed youth in South Africa. If you meet the requirements, apply before 21 February 2025.

About the Learnership

Successful candidates will enroll in an external learnership program leading to a recognized artisan qualification. This is a great opportunity to gain practical experience and technical skills in a professional work environment.

Available Learnerships

• Fitter (8 positions)
• Rigger (4 positions)
• Electrician (4 positions)
• Diesel Mechanic (2 positions)
• Boilermaker (6 positions)

Minimum Requirements

To qualify, you must meet one of the following academic requirements:

• Matric Certificate with:
  • Mathematics (not Mathematics Literacy)
  • Physical Science
  • English (all subjects must have at least 40% pass)

OR

• N2 Certificate or higher with relevant subjects for the specific trade.

OR

• NCV Level 4 Certificate in the appropriate trade with a minimum of 40% in all subjects.

Trade Test Requirements

For trade test eligibility, you must have:

• A minimum of N2 subjects in:
  • Mathematics
  • Engineering Science
  • Relevant Trade Theory
  • Industrial Electronics, Engineering Drawings, or Plating Structural Drawings

OR

• NCV Level 4 in the relevant trade with all subjects passed at 40% or higher.

Documents Required

• Updated CV
• Certified copy of ID
• Certified copies of relevant qualifications
• Proof of residence (stamped by the local tribal office or municipality)
