The Manufacturing, Engineering, and Related Services Education and Training Authority (merSETA) is inviting applications for Grants Implementation Administrator positions. This is a fixed-term contract role for 12 months. The closing date for applications is 29 January 2025.

  • Contract Duration: 12 months

Purpose of the Role

The role provides administrative support to ensure efficient and effective grant management within the Grants Management Unit.


Key Responsibilities

As a Grants Implementation Administrator, your duties will include:

  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to manage payments, processes, and grant disbursements.
  • Updating DG/Project contract information and tracking performance in the Commitment Register.
  • Preparing and submitting documents for audits, including RFIs and payment evidence.
  • Uploading project documents (MoAs, payment evidence) on systems such as TPIMS and SharePoint.
  • Preparing memos and addendums for change requests.
  • Compiling and verifying payment requisition packs for discretionary grant claims.
  • Capturing and maintaining accurate records of discretionary grant claims.
  • Ensuring financial documents are collated, reviewed, and submitted for approval.

Qualifications and Experience

To apply, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Education:
    • National Diploma (NQF 6) in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • At least 1 year of experience in administration within grants management or finance.
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Effective collaboration and communication abilities.
    • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and database systems.
