Purpose of the Role

The Legal Costs Consultant will consult with legal and medical experts to assess claims and associated costs.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Cost Management

• Review and interpret claims for accuracy.
• Identify fraudulent or contradictory claims.
• Determine the need for attorney services on a case.
• Assess and verify attorney fees for fairness.
• Consult with service providers to explore cost-saving opportunities.

Quality Assurance

• Implement and maintain high standards for invoicing processes.
• Ensure unusual occurrences are managed appropriately.

Administrative Support

• Handle correspondence and produce reports.
• Prepare documents, briefing papers, and presentations.
• Assist with typing and editing letters, memos, and technical papers.

Reporting

• Track progress against objectives and targets.
• Report on emerging risks and improvement opportunities.
• Provide ad hoc process improvement reports.

Stakeholder Management

• Maintain healthy relationships with stakeholders.
• Provide timely updates on the status of queries.
• Respond to inquiries within defined timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree/Advanced Diploma in a related field.

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in insurance, legal, or accounting environments.
