X100 Various EPWP Vacancies for Unemployed Individuals at Joburg Market | Apply with Grade 10 -12

The Joburg Market is offering Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) vacancies (100 Posts) for unemployed South African citizens residing within the City of Johannesburg Municipality. This program will run for a 12-month period in 2025. Applications close on 10th January 2025.

Available Positions

1. General Workers (50 Posts)

• Requirements: Grade 10
• Duties:
  • Clean platforms, compactors, rocker bins, floors, and surfaces.
  • Manage and empty waste bins following Health and Safety Standards.

2. General Office Cleaners (9 Posts)

• Requirements: Grade 10
• Duties:
  • Sweep, mop, dust, and polish office areas, kitchens, floors, stairs, and bathrooms.
  • Replenish bathroom supplies and kitchen refreshments.

3. Platform Wardens (Security) (10 Posts)

• Requirements: Grade 12
• Duties:
  • Perform routine security patrols and ensure public safety within the precinct.
  • Control access and exit of pedestrians and vehicles, enforcing JM By-Laws.

4. Maintenance Assistants (10 Posts)

• Requirements: Grade 10
• Duties:
  • Unblock toilets and sewer lines.
  • Perform general repairs, including fixing taps, pipes, lights, and plugs.
  • Assist with painting, changing locks, and other maintenance tasks.

5. Consignment Gate Controllers (10 Posts)

• Requirements: Grade 12
• Duties:
  • Stop and inspect delivery trucks to verify delivery notes against consignments.
  • Direct trucks as required.

6. Marketing Assistant (1 Post)

• Requirements: Grade 12
• Duties:
  • Assist with marketing administrative functions and manage marketing platforms.
  • Handle and store marketing branding equipment.

7. Human Resources (2 Posts)

• Requirements: Grade 12
• Duties:
  • Assist with HR administrative functions and document filing.

8. Food Bank Assistants (6 Posts)

• Requirements: Grade 10
• Duties:
  • Package fresh produce and maintain cleanliness in food bank areas.

9. Property (2 Posts)

• Requirements: Grade 12
• Duties:
  • Provide assistance with property-related administrative functions.
