Job Description:

As a Shop Assistant/Cashier, your role will include:

• Delivering excellent customer service at the point of sale.
• Efficiently managing operational tasks such as scanning merchandise and processing payments.
• Handling cash with accuracy and ensuring the safety of transactions.
• Promoting Clicks’ Clubcard to customers and encouraging new memberships.
• Raising awareness of promotions to boost sales and help customers feel good about their shopping experience.
• Maintaining high standards of merchandising and store housekeeping.
• Staying up-to-date on products, promotions, and events to provide customers with correct information.

Requirements:

To qualify for this position, you need:

• Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification (NQF Level 4).
• Experience in a customer-facing role within a retail or FMCG environment is desirable.
• Maths and English proficiency at Grade 12 level is advantageous.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Basic math calculations.
• A solid understanding of retail/FMCG operations and merchandising principles.
• Customer service excellence.
• Good communication and numeracy skills.
• Problem-solving and planning abilities.
