Job Purpose

As a Shop Assistant/Cashier, you will provide excellent customer service, handle point-of-sale transactions, and assist with merchandising. Your role will contribute to a positive shopping experience for customers.

Minimum Requirements

Experience

• Prior experience in retail, FMCG, or customer service is an advantage but not required.

Education

• Essential: Grade 12 (Matric)
• Desirable: Maths (50%) and English (50%) at Matric level

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

• Provide fast and efficient service at checkout.
• Promote and enroll customers in the Clicks ClubCard program.
• Inform customers about promotions to encourage purchases.
• Ensure safe handling of cash and transactions.
• Act as a brand ambassador by offering friendly and professional service.

Merchandising & Store Operations

• Stock and arrange products according to store layout.
• Keep the store neat and organized.
• Stay updated on product ranges, promotions, and store policies.

Skills & Competencies

Knowledge

• Basic math skills for transactions.
• Retail/FMCG experience in stock management and merchandising.
• Strong understanding of customer service principles.
