Purpose of the Role
As a Verification and Validation Consultant, your main responsibility will be to verify and validate registered claims in compliance with the RAF Act and related regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Verification and Validation
- Apply legal knowledge of the RAF Act and relevant case law to validate claims.
- Identify and address duplicate claims.
- Verify data with stakeholders to ensure accuracy.
- Assess the validity of death benefit claims and determine the claimant’s legal standing.
- Apply prescription rules at both claim and product levels.
Quality Assurance
- Maintain quality standards during verification and validation processes.
- Ensure proper documentation and implementation of unusual occurrence procedures.
Administrative Support
- Manage and document pre-assessed claims.
- Respond to correspondence and draft reports, letters, and presentations.
- Provide administrative support for various technical documents.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Provide timely feedback on queries.
- Respond to queries within set turnaround times.
Reporting
- Track progress and report on objectives and targets.
- Highlight emerging risks and propose improvements.
- Provide ad hoc reports as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in a related field.
Experience Required
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in claims processing.
Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of RAF products and the Motor Vehicle Act.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with Motor Vehicle Accident legislation and PFMA.
- Excellent financial management and planning abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and ethical judgment.
- Ability to prioritize and manage tasks independently.
