Traffic Warden Vacancies at the Department of Public Safety | Apply with Matric

Rand West City Local Municipality is looking for qualified applicants to fill 5 Traffic Warden positions. The closing date for applications is 11th March 2025.
Available Position:
- Traffic Wardens (PL10) – 5 posts
- Post Reference: RWCLM/PS/05/25
- Basic Salary: R232,692.24 per annum (excluding benefits)
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Knowledge of traffic laws
- Physically fit
- No criminal record
- No prior experience required
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor traffic movement and road situations
- Patrol areas to check traffic flow and identify illegally parked vehicles
- Enforce traffic laws and report violations that cannot be immediately addressed
- Lead awareness campaigns and educational programs related to traffic laws
- Suggest improvements for traffic-related issues
- Prevent violations of traffic rules
- Inspect parking meters, signs, and road markings for necessary maintenance
