Traffic Officer Trainee Learnership – Joe Morolong Local Municipality

The Joe Morolong Local Municipality, in partnership with the Department of Land Reform, is offering a Traffic Officer Trainee Learnership for unemployed youth. This program provides an opportunity to gain skills in Road Traffic Law Enforcement (NQF Level 4) over a 12-month training period.

If you are between 18 and 35 years old, meet the requirements, and want to pursue a career in law enforcement, apply before 14 February 2025.


Minimum Requirements

To qualify, you must:

  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Have a Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Provide a SAPS Clearance Certificate with no criminal record.
  • Undergo and submit proof of a medical examination.
  • Permanently reside within the Joe Morolong Local Municipality.

Selection Process

Candidates will:

  • Complete a physical fitness assessment.
  • Attend an interview.
  • Maintain a high level of physical fitness throughout the program.
  • Provide SAPS Clearance results (no other criminal clearance certificates will be accepted).
