The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill permanent Call Centre Agent positions at their Head Office in Pretoria. Minimum Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

  • Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4)

Experience:

  • 0–1 years of relevant experience

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Computer literacy is essential.
  • Knowledge of:
    • SOCPEN (Social Pensions System).
    • Legislation, policy, procedures, and standards related to the Social Assistance Act and the SASSA Act.
    • Social Assistance delegations and procedures.
    • Organizational structures and arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

As a Call Centre Agent, your responsibilities will include:

Call Handling:

  • Receiving and making calls to assist clients.
  • Capturing details of incoming calls in the Customer Care Application System.
  • Investigating and providing feedback on queries.

Customer Support:

  • Monitoring and following up on client requests forwarded to relevant departments or managers.
  • Handling and resolving email inquiries.
  • Providing customer education on services and processes.
  • Directing calls to appropriate officials to ensure client needs are addressed effectively.

Data Management:

  • Updating client information on the Integrated Customer Care Application.
