Job Overview
The ECD Teacher Assistant will manage a group of children, ensuring their well-being and safety. Responsibilities include overseeing educational activities, supporting the children’s development in line with the curriculum, and maintaining discipline. Additional duties involve fostering positive relationships and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the daycare center.
Minimum Qualifications
To qualify for this role, you need:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- SAPS clearance certificate.
- Basic certificate in early childhood development (NQF level 4).
- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
Skills and Attributes
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships.
- Honest, responsible, trustworthy, and patient.
- Ability to maintain discipline.
- Proficient in both written and verbal communication in Afrikaans and English.
- Must be in good health.
Duties and Responsibilities
As an ECD Teacher Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and supervising a group of children.
- Overseeing all educational tasks related to children’s development.
- Performing tasks and responsibilities expected of staff members in a daycare environment.
