Apprenticeship Training Programme at NECSA for Unemployed Youth | Apply with Matric

The South African Nuclear Energy Corporation (NECSA) invites qualified candidates to apply for their Apprenticeship Training Programme in 7 provinces across South Africa. The closing date for applications is 25th February 2025.

Available Trades for Apprenticeship:

1. Metal Machinist (Turner):
   As a metal machinist, you will work with metals to create precision parts and instruments. You will operate and maintain machinery such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC equipment.
2. Toolmaker:
   A toolmaker creates precision tools, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures used in manufacturing. You will work with various materials, including metals and alloys, to create tools used in production processes.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) with Maths and Science
• N2 to N6 with 4 subjects including relevant trade theory
• Technical Matric with Maths, Science, and relevant trade theory
• NCV Level 3/4 Engineering Certificate with 7 subjects, including relevant trade theory

Additional Requirements:

• Technical knowledge
• Ability to work well in a team
• Must be between 18-35 years old
• Candidates must undergo medical, security, and qualification checks

Key Details:

• Location: Available in the following provinces:
  Eastern Cape, Free State, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Northern Cape, North West
• Duration: 3 years
• Stipend: Monthly stipend and accommodation provided
• Eligibility: Only South African citizens will be considered
