Job Summary:

As a District Aide, your role will involve general maintenance tasks related to pipelines, valves, and meters, as well as providing support in the upkeep of Rand Water facilities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• 1 year of experience in a similar environment.
• Ability to perform maintenance on pipelines.
• Good communication skills.

Primary Duties:

• Perform maintenance on pipelines, valves, and meters.
• Conduct pipeline patrols (by bicycle).
• Handle standby duties as required.
• Assist with the upkeep of grounds and the cleaning of buildings and offices.

Knowledge and Skills:

• General maintenance experience.
• Familiarity with safety and safe working procedures.
• Communication skills for effective team collaboration.
• Ability to ride a bicycle for patrol duties.
