The Moses Kotane Institute (MKI) is looking for unemployed graduates from KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) to assist with research data collection. If you meet the requirements, apply before 18 February 2025.


Position Details

  • Job Title: Research Data Collector
  • Number of Positions: 42
  • Location: Various district municipalities in KwaZulu-Natal
  • Duration: Fixed-term contract (2 to 5 days of fieldwork)
  • Daily Rate: R350 per day

Minimum Requirements

  • South African citizen, residing in one of the above-listed municipalities.
  • Tertiary qualification (NQF Level 6 – 8) (NQF 8 is an advantage).
  • Computer literacy and ability to use a mobile device.
  • Proficiency in English and IsiZulu.
  • Valid driver’s license (Code 08/10) is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect research data through door-to-door visits, surveys, and interviews (both in person and telephonic).
  • Ensure data accuracy and quality when capturing information.
  • Follow strict ethical and professional standards in data collection.
  • Submit data in the MKI-prescribed format within the agreed timeframe.

  • You are not available during the last week of February 2025.
