Position: Assistant Process Controller (5 Posts)

Salary: R181,776 per annum (basic)

Job Purpose

• Support the Supervisor in daily operations of wastewater treatment facilities.
• Maintain cleanliness and ensure safety at the workplace.
• Ensure compliance with water use license conditions, the National Water Act, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHASA).

Key Responsibilities

• Clean tanks using spades and rakes, and dispose of debris in solid waste bins.
• Remove weeds and debris from tanks and their walls.
• Clear sludge from disinfection tanks manually.
• Assist in general operations and maintenance activities.
• Manage sludge spillages by cleaning and loading into waste bins.
• Remove dry sludge from drying beds for mechanical disposal.
• Clean offices, restrooms, and change rooms regularly.
• Maintain pump stations and surrounding work areas.
• Rectify and report unsafe working conditions immediately.
• Assist in planned activities to address non-compliance issues.
• Follow instructions from the Supervisor regarding disaster management plans.
• Operate within OHASA requirements and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
