The University of South Africa (UNISA) is inviting applications for its 12-month Internship Programme. A total of 104 positions are available in various fields. This opportunity is open to unemployed graduates who meet the eligibility criteria. Applications close on 31 January 2025.

Internship Details

• Duration: 12 months
• Stipend: R120,925 per annum
• Start Date: 01 March 2025

Requirements

To qualify for these internships, applicants must have:

• Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internet use.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Telephone etiquette and professional behavior.
• The ability to take initiative, work in a team, and meet deadlines.
• Skills in prioritizing tasks, attention to detail, and time management.
• Problem-solving abilities and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A strong sense of responsibility, commitment, and punctuality.
• The ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.

Additional ICT Requirements

• Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking concepts.
• Knowledge of software and system installations.
• Analytical skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: Must be a South African citizen.
• Qualification: Completed a UNISA qualification (3-year National Diploma or Degree) equivalent to NQF level 6 or higher.
• Work Experience: No formal work experience in the field of study.
• Age: Not older than 35 years.
• Applicants who have participated in any internship program are not eligible.
• A separate application must be submitted for each position.
