The Wits Health Consortium is looking for a qualified and motivated individual to join their team as a Data Capturer. This is a permanent position based in Makhado, Vhembe District, Limpopo. Position Overview
As a Data Capturer, your primary responsibility will be to accurately and efficiently capture patient and research data into both electronic and manual databases. The role requires attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to manage confidential information.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Entry & Verification: Capture participant data from clinicians and ensure all information is correctly entered into the database.
- Error Identification: Identify and report any missing data or inconsistencies, ensuring accuracy in all entries.
- Confidentiality Maintenance: Handle sensitive research data with the utmost confidentiality and discretion.
- File Management: Maintain and update participant files, including electronic and manual documents, while adhering to protocols.
- Report Distribution: Distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports to relevant team members, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in monthly meetings and training sessions to contribute to the team’s progress.
- General Administrative Support: Assist with various administrative duties such as copying, filing, archiving, and more.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Grade 12 (Matric) with basic computer and typing skills.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Strong administrative skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office and database software.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols.
- Capability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.
- Self-motivated and able to take initiative in driving personal career development.
