Job Description

As an Administration Officer in the Supply Chain Management team, you will oversee tender-related processes and ensure compliance with proper procedures.


Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualification at NQF 6 with 4 years of relevant work experience, OR
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualification at NQF 7 with 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • A postgraduate qualification (NQF 8) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field will be an added advantage.

Key Competencies

  • Procurement Systems: Experience in procurement systems is advantageous.
  • Legislation Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of supply chain management legislation, policies, procedures, and frameworks.
  • Public Finance: In-depth knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, and Generally Recognized Accounting Practice.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Internet, and Outlook.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Planning and Problem-Solving: Advanced planning, organizing, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Interpersonal and Management Skills: Strong interpersonal, report writing, and people management skills.
  • Driving: A valid driver’s license with at least one year of practical driving experience and willingness to travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the Request for Quotation/Tender process.
  • Assist with Terms of Reference development and manage briefing/site inspection processes.
  • Provide support in Quotation/Tender evaluation processes.
  • Assist in generating purchase orders and processing invoices.
  • Manage governance, risk, and compliance within the supply chain process.
