Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Education:
  • Minimum Grade 10 qualification
  • Grade 12 will be an added advantage
• Driver’s License:
  • A valid license is advantageous
• Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be bilingual
  • Ability to follow instructions effectively
  • Hardworking and self-disciplined
• Physical Fitness:
  • Good physical health and capable of performing labor-intensive tasks
• Experience:
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in general electrical work, particularly within a local government setting

Key Responsibilities

As a General Worker (Electrical), you will be responsible for:

1. Material and Equipment Handling
   • Safely load and unload materials and equipment for the section using appropriate tools and safety gear.
2. Traffic Control and Safety
   • Set up traffic signs to warn road users about workers operating near municipal roads during excavation work.
3. Worksite Maintenance
   • Keep the work area clean and organized using manual labor tools like brooms.
4. General Labor Tasks
   • Assist with various labor-related duties as instructed by the supervisor or superintendent.
5. Additional Duties
   • Carry out any other tasks or ad hoc duties as assigned by management to ensure productivity and smooth operations.
