Application Process

Submission Requirements:

1. Applications must be submitted on the new Z83 Application Form, available here.
2. Attach a comprehensive CV detailing employment start and end dates (dd/mm/yyyy) and contact information for at least two references.
3. Include certified copies of:
   • ID
   • Valid driver’s license
   • Highest educational qualifications
4. Applicants with foreign qualifications must provide an SAQA evaluation certificate.
5. Email submissions must be limited to 2.5MB in size. If a receipt acknowledgment isn’t received, resend the application in smaller parts.

Selection Process

• Shortlisted candidates will undergo:
  • Interviews and technical assessments to evaluate professional and technical competency.
  • A competency assessment for proficiency in professional skills required for the position.
  • Employment suitability checks, including credit, criminal, citizenship, and qualification verifications.
• Senior Management Services (SMS) candidates must complete the online Pre-entry Certificate to SMS course offered by the National School of Government. Enroll at: NSG SMS Pre-entry Programme.

Pre-Appointment Conditions:

• A positive security clearance is mandatory.
• Successful candidates must:
  • Sign an employment contract.
  • Serve a probation period as prescribed by the department.
