Position Details
Job Title: Hygiene Attendant
- Location: Mossel Bay Factory
- Minimum Qualification: Matric (Grade 12)
- Experience: At least 1 year of relevant work experience
Position Summary

As a Hygiene Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional hygiene standards and housekeeping within the plant and its surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
1. Air Filter Maintenance
- Inspect air filters in the egron and fan rooms daily, replacing dirty filters as needed.
- Clean air filter rooms and update the filter logbook daily.
2. Egron Duties
- Assist the process controller during the start-up and shut-down of the spray dryer.
- Perform dry cleaning of the plant and other equipment in line with established procedures.
- Report damaged equipment or abnormalities to the Team Leader.
- Clean and sanitize spray dryer floors when required.
- Maintain PPE stock levels for high hygiene areas.
3. Handling Non-Conforming Products
- Bag non-conforming products and pack them neatly on pallets.
- Keep the bagging station clean and organized.
4. Safety and Housekeeping
- Clean the spray dryer roof (second floor) daily, following procedural guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness in the sieve washing room as necessary.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a high level of housekeeping.
5. General Duties
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide relief support to tote bin attendants and batch mixers when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Basic understanding of Microbiology.
- Knowledge of cleaning principles.
- Familiarity with the Nestlé Hygiene Code.
- Physical capability to perform manual cleaning tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow routines consistently.
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
