  • Salary Range: R308,154 – R362,994 per annum (inclusive of a performance agreement).

Minimum Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

  • A Grade 12 Certificate or an equivalent qualification.

Experience:

  • Relevant administrative experience, particularly in Family Law Matters.
  • Knowledge of the Maintenance Act (Act 99 of 1998).

Additional Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Numeracy and time management abilities.
  • Professionalism and empathy when working with the public.
  • Ability to explain legal terminology in simple terms.
  • Facilitation and problem-solving skills.
  • Innovation and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Investigator, your primary duties will include:

  • Serving Maintenance Summons, Subpoenas, Warrants, and Garnishee Orders in accordance with the Maintenance Act.
  • Locating individuals involved in maintenance cases.
  • Providing testimony under oath in court.
  • Offering administrative support to the office.
